CryBeen peaking in on the nest all day.
I've noticed the adult on the nest shaking it's head from time to time but this evening it is shaking it's head almost continually!!!

It has been hot and humid today. I'm guessing the black flies have found their way to the nest!Mad
They've been swarming me while out in the yard. Nothing seems to keep them from biting.

At 7:29 a fish was delivered!Clapping

wave Ayer's,

Hi Jude, Grin
Thank you for the report. It's a beautiful calm evening on the nest (8:00 pm); the water is such a pretty blue. The insects still seem to be an issue, like you said Jude. Even tonight Mom is shaking her head a lot and biting at her feathers. Pests!

Pics from this morning:
7:37 am,
Mom excited and full of chatter as she watches "Pops" while he's fishing.

Mug of coffee Morning.....
Cal that was a good report. I had forgotten what pops "fly-bys" were like. As soon as I read what you wrote I recall from last year what they looked like. Keeps mom on her toes!
I can hardly wait to see how many eggs are in that nest!
....patience JudeEmbarrassed
It is very humid here in New Hampshire this (very early) morning. It was humid all night which made sleeping impossible for me. I wonder how our feathered friends made out? The black flies must have been unbearable for mom osprey, who is truly forced to endure the biting flies as she incubates her egg(s).

wave Good morning Ayer's,

Hi Jude,
Thank you for the morning report. Yes indeed; it would be oh so nice to be able to see the eggs. Nodding

9:00 am,
Mom watches the morning activity on the water, rolls her eggs and changes position on the nest.

Very windy at the nest right now (4:32). A line of showers came through a short time ago. I couldn't get a good picture, but there were actual waves in the water behind the nest! Mom O' was swaying in the wind on top of the nest.
Oh no...the cam went black again.

It's a crystal clear morning at Ayer's. Mom is being bothered by bugs again. She shakes her head to rid herself of them.

For some reason the cam shuts off on me after only a few seconds. Does anyone else have that problem?
