Good catch Judy! Smile I think it could be Dad, but not positive. His mark on the back of his head is a clover shape.

I'm out of practice taking pics; they're too big!Titter

Whoever this is, s/he's early. Two years ago, Dad returned on April 7 and last year he returned on April 6. I'm waiting for him/her to turn around so I can see the front markings better.

Hi CAL! Smile The marking on the back of the head sure looks like Mom's skate key shape!

Good Morning everyone! I see one of our feathered friends is back in NH. How cool is that? Peggy, you were right on the mark with when they'd return.

It's about 3:40pm. There is an osprey on the nest. The head looks identical to the ones Peggy and Cal posted.
Is the female the first to arrive generally? The bird is looking skyward quite a bit.

Hi Jude! wave I saw her on the nest this afternoon but then had to leave. I'm 99 9/10% positive that she's Mom. I guess she had an early start, since Dad usually arrives first. In the last 2 years that I know of for sure, Dad arrived on April 7 and then April 6 last year. Mom shows up a few days later. Hey, maybe she found a shortcut this year! Laugh

I hope Dad shows up soon so they can get the nest fixed up, etc. Besides, I'll feel a lot better once I know he's arrived safely.

Okay.......Gerard, where are you? I got a short message from him on March 12 but nothing since. I asked if he's got a new computer; sure hope so!
