Peggy, that's interesting about when the eggs were laid a year ago and that Maine was 10 days earlier than last year.
4:30pm Right now there is a dark cloud over Ayer's. I looked at the radar and it's right over the area where the nest is. It's difficult to see the birds in the nest but I did see one fly in just now. One was sitting when I tuned in a few moments ago.
Thanks for the information Peggy. Good observations and records from last year!

wave Hi Jude, Peggy and Visitors,

10:07 am,
Looks like Mom is incubating. Wish we could see something in the bowl. Nodding

Sure do appreciate your reports and s'caps, especially when I have to play catch-up. Will not be able to be at my PC a lot for a few hours.

3:30pm EDT (or thereabouts)

I logged on to see how things were progressing. Dad was on the nest and both Ospreys were standing - appeared to be eating. No eggs visible - but - in that nest and the color of Osprey eggs, I doubt if they will be visible. Mom turning the eggs or shifting her body would be about it.

Dad flew up, hovered and lowered himself onto Mom. Mating

After the mating he returned to standing on the nest and then flew off. When Mom settled back on the nest bowl, she did do the body wiggle that I associate with rolling and settling eggs.

Great pics and observations BET; thank you! This nest is so deep and the camera angle doesn't allow us to be able to see the egg or eggs. I guess we'll just have to wait and see when they hatch.

Day three of incubation (if my observation is right).
Mom Began laying on the egg(s) on Thursday April 22nd.
All seems quiet on the nest this morning.

Thanks, I'll use 4/22 for my nesting calendar...looks like a safe bet. Sometimes we have to go on what we observe, not on seeing the egg. That's what I do when I'm monitoring my nests from the ground.
