Thanks for the pics Cal and the observations Cal, Jude, Jazzel & JudyB![/b Thank You I'm not sure if there is an egg yet.......Sherri, on the Maine forum, saw Mom leave just before dark and right now, the nest is empty. They've got me so confused, which comes easily to me! Rolling on floor laughing

Good morning Ayers, wave

6:05 am,
Dad just left the nest where he had been resting after he brought a fish to Mom. Mom looked concerned then she took the fish and left. Dad spent some time drying his wings and resting before he left the nest again.

6:10 am, Nobody in residence at the moment.

Add - Earlier:
5:58 am, Dad resting after his underwater fish chase. Mom looks concerned standing over him.

Both birds flew onto the nest at 6:13am. At 6:14am Another "bonding" moment. Shortly thereafter, one adult left the nest while the remaining bird moves sticks and hangs out.

So now I'm confused - are we thinking there isn't an egg yet, and she was just getting ready? Puzzled

It does look as if whoever is there is just sitting there, not incubating.

Jude, I think poor Dad had to rest-up before they had their "bonding" moment. love

JudyB, True that there is a light something area in the nest bowl that could easily be viewed as an egg but I don't think they have any eggs yet.

It was quite exciting to actually watch Dad underwater a good deal of the time as he chased his prey this morning. He came to the nest exhausted but bounced back in no time. This male Osprey is working very hard to provide food and make a nice nest for his family.

5:48 am, Dad fishing in the background above Mom's head.

5:55 am, Dad chased his fish all over "kingdom-come" before he finally got it and brought it to the nest. Here he is under the perch, bottom of screen. He flew in from the bottom right side with the fish.
