Hi Kay: Nice photo of the Cormorant swimming by the Mergansers. I really like the Fox Sparrow and the Towhee.
Sparrows always seem to be in motion so that photo is impressive. Did you have to take a lot of pixs before you got that one or did you get it on the first try? -- Ed

Hi Ed, I took 4 pix of the fox sparrow. It was flitting back and forth from one side of the walkway to the other. I was actually quite close to it and had my 300mm lens on my camera so the pix were not as focused as I would have liked. I didn't want to move and scare it away. But, as I always say, it's better to get one photo that's not quite focused than none at allRoll eyes The weather wasn't very nice that day; cloudy one minute and sunny the next. It started raining off and on and my hands were cold by the time I left. I'll get back there next week if we have some nice weather. It's lovely and sunny here this morning but I don't have a car because Brian goes to work Wed. and Thurs. mornings and we have only one car.
