Wonderful colors on the wigeons and shovelers, Kay. Wish we could get rid of all the rain and wind. First you must follow before you lead. |

Kay, I was just checking out the beautiful photos you have posted. The wildlife in the photos and the composition is wonderful. Are these photos taken with your new lens and camera? The young swans attract other smaller waterfowl, they seem to form bonds. I know the Mute Swan cygnet I observed got along very well with the ducks and geese. The last time I saw the immature Mute Swan it had formed a bond with a Canadian Goose. I love your photo of the young Swan and all the small waterfowl around it. Again thanks for the beautiful nature shots you bring to us my friend. Wildlife Photography, Nature Provides It And We Pass It On |

Here are a few pix I took yesterday while I was in Saxe Pt. Park. The 1st one is Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse, which is adjacent to Esquimalt Lagoon, which you can see in the far distance. The next 2 are a female Northern Flicker; they have beautiful wing & tail feathers. Click bigger. The most precious things in life aren't things! |

Kay, Nice photos of the flicker. I’ll be looking forward to pictures from your new camera. How heavy is the 50-500? Do you get tired of carrying it if you’re out on a trail or in a park for a long period of time? Thanks for including the Fisgard Lighthouse and Fort Rod Hill. That’s one of my favorite lighthouses with excellent displays inside. I think most visitors to Victoria only have time for Butchart Gardens and the Empress, and they don’t see some of the other highlights of your charming city. First you must follow before you lead. |
