This mute swan was sitting on the side of the road at the edge of the beach. It was very slow to get up and waddled along until it got right up beside me; it rubbed its head on my leg and then continued on down the bank and onto the beach. There is always someone at the lagoon with buckets of bird feed and these swans and ducks were having a feast. Click 2X bigger.

HelloThanks Ed. It was a very windy and freezing cold day at the lagoon and the birds were all staying close to shoreNodding

Here are some pix of the ducks at King's Pond taken Dec. 17th. The 1st one is a male Wood Duck and the other 2 are a male Northern Shoveler. Click 2X bigger.

Hi Kay * Beautiful pictures of your local waterfowl. Those wood ducks and shovelers sure are gorgeous. Very nice of them to allow you so close.
That one photo of the cormorant shows off the iridescence in its feathers nicely. Thanks !!
