Kay and Doug, I love your most all your photo!

Kay, That is a lovely Mute Swan Family. I see that the cygnets have brown plumage. As you have seen the family I watch, the cygnet has white plumage. I have read about there being to possible different plumage colors. Thanks for all your great shots.

Doug, The seal shots are wonderful, especially the underwater shots you got. Great idea! The Pileated Woodpecker is one of my favorites, great catch! Really neat to see it working on that cavity in the tree. All the photos were awesome.

Thank you both for sharing the beautiful wildlife of your area.:hello:

Here are a few photos of the mute swans, taken at Esquimalt Lagoon on Oct. 31st. I didn't crop the third one as much because I really like the lighting effect on the rippling waterLeft thumb up Click 2X bigger.

Here are a few photos of the baby mute swans, taken at Esquimalt Lagoon on Oct. 31st. They still have a lot of brown/beige coloured feathers on their backs but their necks are almost white on the front side. Click 2X bigger.
