I visited the Brentwood Bay nest this afternoon and one of the adults was perched at the top of a snag near the nest tree. I walked up & down the sidewalk a few times and took pics but didn't see any action in the nest. However, I did hear that familiar sound that eaglets make so I'm assuming there are some in the nest fingers crossed Here is a pic of the nest and there could be an eaglet on the right side behind the sticks. The adult was watching the farmer in the field behind the nest tree. Click bigger.

I visited the Brentwood Bay nest yesterday and Mom was in the nest; I could just barely see her between the branches. I went around to the back street where I saw 2 eaglets in the nest with Mom. Dad flew in with food then flew to a nearby tree while Mom fed the eaglets. If I had been on the street by the nest tree when Dad flew in I would have gotten a few decent closeup pics. Here's Mom peeking out at me, taken from different vantage points on the street by the nest tree. Click bigger.

These pics were taken from the road behind the nest tree which is quite a distance away. You can see the 2 eaglets which look quite big Oh My Click bigger.

I visited the Brentwood nest yesterday. It was a beautiful sunny day early in the morning but clouded over by the time I arrived at the nest site. I saw Dad perched in a tree near the nest tree, partially obscured by the leaves, but I managed to get 1 pic of him showing part of his head. Click pics bigger.

Just as I got to the vantage point where I can get a clear view of the nest, one of the eaglets was perched at the side of the nest and the one at the back of the nest was standing up and wingercizing. Of course I didn't have my camera set up and missed capturing it Roll eyes

I stayed for awhile and watched, hoping one of the eaglets would start wingercizing. The one in the back of the nest spread its wings a few times but didn't get up. I managed to get a few pics.

A few more pics of the eaglets. They are huge Oh My I wandered up the road to see if Mom was perched in any of the trees but didn't see her. By the time I got back to the nest site, both eaglets were out of sight. Click pics bigger.

I went to see the Brentwood Bay eagles this afternoon. Dad flew over the road from the freshly cut field and perched in the old nest tree. There were no eaglets visible when I walked to the nest site but within a few minutes I saw a head pop up and a wing flap. 1 of the eaglets was eating something and carried it over to the side of the nest. Dad left the old nest tree and was soaring overhead. The eaglet that was at the front of the nest saw Dad and kept looking up at him and calling. Eventually the eaglet started flapping its wings and I almost didn't get them all in the picture Oh My The eaglet is huge.
