A few pix of the Brentwood eagle (I think its Dad) in the old nest tree. I didn't see Mom in the nest but just caught a glimpse of the tip of her wing from down the road. Click bigger.

I think the eagle had enough of me taking its pic and decided to fly away. It circled around the tree, flew past the new nest and disappeared from sight. I spotted it a few minutes later flying over the school field down the road but by the time I walked down there it was soaring high in the thermals. Click bigger.

Hi Larry, I suspect they must be incubating eggs because the last 2 times I have been there one has been in the nest and the other one has been close by. It is not easy to get a good clear view of their new nest because it is at the back of the stand of trees and there are too many bushes along the side of the property. There is nowhere to stand on the opposite side of the road. Usually I don't see the chicks until they are big enough to peer over the side of the nestRoll eyes I'll be making a trip to the nest sometime soon.

I went to the Brentwood Bay nest on Thurs. afternoon and again yesterday morning. Both days one eagle was in the nest lying down, looking like it was incubating. The other eagle was nowhere in sight. It is not easy to get a good pic of this new nest and it will be even more difficult for me once the surrounding trees are in full foliageRoll eyes
Here are a few pix. The 2nd one was taken from down the road where I could get a clear view. Click bigger.

I went by the Brentwood Bay nest yesterday on my way to Pat Bay. Not much to report other than one of the eagles was in the nest incubating. I didn't see the other one anywhere. Here is a pic of the nest from the side closer to the old nest tree; it's difficult to get a clear view of this new nest. Click bigger.

Here is another pic of the Brentwood nest, taken from down the road in the opposite direction, closer to the school. Click bigger.
