I just read David's note where he talked about a Delta pair who rebuilt a nest and successfully raised 2 eaglets in 2010. Are these Bandit's parents or another Delta pair?

thanks! Judi

Hi Judi,
I believe this is another pair - who up till recently had been using a Hydro power pole for their nest site. This pair have now returned to a previous nest site (Delta2) they had not used since 1999.

Bandit and his parents were at the nest known as Delta1.

And to confuse you further - the nest near OWL, which fell down last winter, is known as DeltaOWL. Faint

thanks BofP for clearing that up for me! and without a flowchart! Titter

I was optimistically hoping that Bandit's parents figured out how to build a nest. I have a soft spot for them

and to echo Kay, thanks to Jewill and Ellen for that marvelous photo. Is it Delta1, Delta2 or DeltaOwl? I'm guessing it is Delta Owl?

Yes, that photo is of the Delta Owl pair.
Ma was sitting high atop the nest tree this morning when I arrived at OWL. She wasn't doing anything other than surveying her territory. No sign of Pa nor of the juvie that has been hanging around.
I'll post the goings-on at OWL today in the appropriate thread.
Cheers!

Was driving by Bandit's old nest this morning and decided to take a quick snap. It's hard to believe that an eagle family could live in it for any length of time. I'm glad that it's now abandoned - it's so inadequate.
