Hello Everybody,
I managed to make it down to the point in the early evening last night. I could see that one of the Eagles was down deep in the nest. No sign of the other one though. Probably out on the hunt for food.

I'm so glad these two are finally nesting!
Have a great weekend

Hello Everybody,
We made it down to the nest this afternoon, and I believe it was Ma in the nest. We hung around for a little bit to see if Pa would show. I think he was circling way up above us in the thermals.
We watched Ma do an egg role, then snuggle back down in the nest.

With the tree's vegitation getting so dense, it's getting difficult to get a good picture, but at least when the babies hatch, they'll have awesome coverage from the elements!

wave Thanks for the update Shrub, complete with nest, white head and blooming foliage pics. Pros and cons for that happening, protection for the kidletsClapping but less visibility from the ground.Sad

Hello Everybody,
It is with greatest regrets that I have to post very sad news on the Port Moody nest. When we arrived at the nest after dinner tonight, a devistating sight met our eyes. The tree that the nest was in has blown down, probably Tuesday or Wednesday when we had the high winds. Ma and Pa are still in the area, and my deepest condolences go out to them for their loss. I will continue to visit Rocky Point, and check up on Ma and Pa to see how they're doing, but it won't be the same without having a nest to report the progress on.
I am so sorry that I have to report such bad news.

Hi Shrub, I heard the news last night. I am so sad for Pa and Ma especially knowing that they had egg(s) that would have been hatching any day. This is heartbreaking news for all the Port Moody eagle friends. Cry Hanky
Maybe we'll see them back at the pct nest next season.
Thanks for the update girlfriend. I know that must have been hard to type through the tears. hug
see you soon

Ohh Nooo!!
That is so unfair - especially after such a promising start.
It must be such a shock to all who have been keeping an eye on this nest in anticipation Sad

And as we have seen from the rescue of Harmon - the eagle parents do grieve over this kind of loss.

I hope you can all keep a watch over them and let us know what they do now.
