Hello Everyone,

We made a stop by Rocky Point, on our way home from visiting the Hastings nest yesterday. Confusion Circle and his friend were arriving the at the same time. As we all made our way to the end of the pier, I scanned the area, and noted that there was no sign of the eagles, again. They must have been bracing themselves for the rain that was forcast for later in the afternoon.
Here are a couple of the many pictures I took of the famous Osprey.

One of the family, and they're actually looking in the close direction of the camera.

The crowd is ever increasing to visit this family, especially since our local paper put their picture on the front page just recently.

As we watched these three go about their daily routine, I looked behind me to scan the trees where the eagles are building their nest, and I noticed that we were being spied on by none other than one of our beloved, and dearly missed eagles, sitting in the tree at the end of the point, in front of the saw mills piko lift.

I didn't see the other one though. Hopefully next time.

Shrub, here's what you missed about 10 minutes after you left. As usual Mrs. Osprey was yapping away, seemingly berating Mr. Osprey for taking his sweet time with the food delivery!

Hello Everyone,

Nice pictures Confusion Circle. It figures Pa would bring food in just after we left. I see that it's an actual flounder this time, and not a gold fish from someones pond. He did seem a little slow in bringing food to the nest. Maybe he feels that he brought so many fish the other night, in such a short time period, that he could slack off. Of course Ma will keep him on track, as always.

Hello Everyone,

We took our dinner down to Rocky Point yesterday, and upon sitting down at one of the Picnic tables over looking the point, we noticed both eagles in the tree looking back!

It's good to see them again, as it's been a while since they've been in the area when we've visited here.
There was a family sitting at the table behind us, and we heard their boy talking about all the birds that were in the area. My husband asked if he would like to use the binoculars and check out the eagles that were sitting in the tree across the way. He was thrilled that they were so close. I love it when people get excited when they see how close they are to these magnificent birds and don't realize it until we point it out to them. Especially children. We also pointed out the Osprey at the end of the pier, which was our next stop.

Upon arrival at the Osprey nest, we learned from a gentle man that had been there for a couple of hours, that Ma left the nest 2 hours previous, and was sitting out on one of the perches on the inlet, taking a fly by every now and then. It wasn't long after I got the camera set up, that she appeared on the scene.

As Pa flew off to his usual perch, he dropped down to pick him rinse his talons off in the water.

I think he actually managed to pick up a small fish along the way.
