Oh no, that must have been devastating to discover Shrub. hugCry

I was looking forward to coming over and watching them and visiting with you this summer! Please keep us posted on how they are doing! Maybe we will get lucky and they will back to the nest with the cam for next season!

CryFriends of these Eagles,
Thank you all for your concerns over the PM nest,
I went to the point this morning(Sunday) after being there with Heather and Stu the night we discovered to nest was down(sat)
I talked with the park guys and they told me that we had high winds on Wed.
I took this pic of what is left of there nest tree

Saw no sign of Ma or Pa put sure they are still in the area wondering what the heck happened
We will try to keep all informed

Thank you for posting the pictures, Larry. Sometimes when I look at those big nests way up in relatively small trees, I wonder how they ever survive. Almost all of them do - but sadly there are exceptions. Cry

Thanks for keeping us informed.

Hello Everybody,
I would like to thank you all for all the kind words and thoughts. I found it very difficult to post the loss of the PM nest. It took me almost an hour, trying to find the words. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It's going to be so difficult to go down to Rocky Point and see the gap where the nest used to be. Hopefully Ma and Pa will be in the area, if so, I'll keep you all posted.
Once again, thanks for all the kind words and thoughts.

waveFriends of these Eagles,
I was down at the point tonight and found Ma sitting in the tree to the right of where the nest tree was.I made a dash to the car to grab my doubler for a closer pic.
but before i could even think about setting up She flew out of the tree and headed directly towards me.She made several passes right over top of me ,each time getting a little higher in the thermals.rewarded with several wonderfull Pic. it wasn't till I got home that I noticed this.
This first pic is of Ma in the same tree last Sat. night when we new the nest was down(look at the crotch of the tree )

This pic is Ma in the same tree tonight but perched on the left, again look at the crotch of the tree.... Is this the star of a new nest?
I hope these two don't decide to try again in this area when they have a perfectly good nest around the corner.
