Good Morning Hornby.....
Cute Nightowl.......didn't know owls recognized poison ivy though.....
I'm reading a book with Queen Victoria in it currently. Happy Victoria Day Canada!
Judy.....yep, I heard about Hali's name....my comment was a subtle tongue in cheek comment that at first I wondered if there were two? Hali is a cute nick name. Now, I did not know that the Bald Eagle could be called Sea Eagle. So......hence Australian Sea Eagles are the same raptor, different variety? I saw some incredible eagles at San Antonio Zoo - huge! One was all black.
Many smiles and joy to you and y'all......

Good afternoon Jill, Carolyn, Karen, and Judy!
Karen, I guess I'll just have to reschedule my vacation till you have some free time. Kidding, but I hope your aunt is doing better now.
Isn't it amazing how much clean up there is to do after winter? Inside AND outside. Oh boy. Glad you at least got your deck cleared! I got up to thunderstorms, so sitting out on the patio isn't going to happen for me either, but my houseplants are sure enjoying the fresh rain water.
Carolyn, us owls do recognize poison ivy, but most of us aren't allergic to it. (personal experience...I HAVE squatted in it before, with no adverse effects, but all 3 of my kids are highly allergic to it) I think that's a little Saw Whet owl, but I'm not sure. I don't think they get any smaller or cuter than they are! Tops, they're about 6 inches tall.
Judy, thanks for the s'caps of Ma and Elizabeth. You are right about the Bald Eagle being a Sea Eagle. I didn't know that either till we went to World Bird Sanctuary here in March for their open house. They had a stage show in which they showed us all types of raptors they have, including Bald Eagles. They explained what bird was from what family.
Here's a description from Wikipedia...
A sea eagle (also called erne or ern, mostly in reference to the White-tailed Eagle) is any of the birds of prey in the genus Haliaeetus[1] in the bird of prey family Accipitridae.
Here's a link to the entire article, including which birds are called Sea Eagles...

Pretty fascinating what we're still learning after all these years, huh?
OK, I guess I better get busy around here...I still have unpacking to do! (yeah...you'd think I'd be done by now, wouldn't ya, but no...not yet)
