I only have a few minutes before I have to head back to work for round 2, but since I've been MIA lately, I thought I better stop in.

Karen, would you like an extended stay house guest? You have so much beauty up there...and lush...oh my!

Jill, yep, good eyes! That IS Gene Kelly's 'we-don't-talk-about-him ' brother.

Carolyn, isn't that baby donkey just the cutest thang? Is it a donkey or a burro? Or is there a difference? I know a horse from a mule, and a mule from a donkey, but that's where it ends.

Judy, thanks for the video and s'caps of Elizabeth! (I prefer to call her Elizabeth, the name Doug gave her, but if you're more comfortable calling her Hali, I guess that's OK too) I think that pretty well confirms she's the only one in the nest, huh? She's a little over 3 weeks now, so I guess she's getting her second down now...and getting tall! Oh my...how the time flies when they're babies!

OK, better get it in gear!

Nightowl,

Squirrels are definitely characters. FYI I love the "leaning on the bird feeder" picture and always gets me singing "I'm Leaning on a Lamp Post" from Me and My Girl.

We recently seem to have acquired by our bird feeder a red tailed squirrel - they are kind of cool looking. This morning is the Woodlands Ironman and I heard from a few miles away the sounds of the starting in Lake Woodlands where they swim 2.4 miles, then bike 112 then 26 mile run. Last year the first person finished I believe around 3 and start was 7. Whew!

Nightowl, I love your squirrels. BTW, right now I don't need any extended houseguests I wouldn't want them to see the weeds Besides, I have enough to do looking after my aunt's interests at the moment

Carolyn she was named Elizabeth by Doug but her nicname at the Hornby cam is Hali which is short in Latin Wikipedia long verson for bald eagle...I was also informed which I didn't know before that Bald Eagle is also called Sea Eagle by Wikipedia
