Quote by: garyandjudyHello nesties on friends of the Hornby eagles ....
well I have two dogs a German Shepherd named Einstein and a Yorkshire Terrier named Lucy so it's too bad when I hear that you have adopted a puppy with Parvo. That means the person who sold you the pup waited too long to have the dog inoculated for Parvo. That is a shame as it costs quite a bit of $ from the vet to save the pup and its not a sure thing. Too bad there are breeders out there that neglect their pups and sell them to inocent dog lovers and spread that ungodly disease to pups that aren't suppose to get Parvo in this modern day and age. So sorry hope your pup pulls through this terribible ordeal.
Hi NIghtowl, Karen, Judy, Carolyn and all!!
This is Berkley. He was adopted at a Petsmart event where there are various shelters particapating including our county shelter. Berkley had had all his shots, including 2 scheduled Parvo vaccinations, had been tested for heart worms, was neutered, and seemed in perfect health. Did not present with normal Parvo symptoms, having been eating and drinking just fine, no vomiting or diarrhea. I just noticed he seemed tired, and seemed warm on Monday. Something told me to take his temp, and I did. It was 104.6, and to the Animal ER we went. The vet did not think he had Parvo, but checked for it anyway. It is so common, dogs pick it up on the street, parks, their own neighborhoods.
Thank you all for your kind words and prayers! Berkley was doing better today. Tomorrow my daughter comes home from college to meet her new puppy who she loves despite meeting him from a distance.

Oh Nightowl, that is adorable!
There are two baby elephants at the Houston Zoo and they have a blast in their state of the art immense area - acres- including a pond that can be lower or higher depending on how good a swimmer they are at that point. Now it is higher. It's fun to see them grab things in the trunks and toss them about.
Have a great day friends.....

Hi Karen......I hope you feel better or get help from Le Docteur. Great loony collage. Now you are both a lunatic and a loon-atic, right?
