Good morning Jill, Carolyn, and Karen! Hello

Jill, I'm sending Carolyn's gremlins to you, but beware...for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, when you ask what they want to eat, they'll tell you a bacon wrapped filet mignon, medium rare. Faint They'll settle for a PB&J though. Thanks Carolyn! I think they think I overworked them though.

Welcome back Karen! Grin It's good to have you back, so don't be a stranger, OK?

Both Iseeyou and Slippers are strictly indoor cats, but I think they're going to be the first to move. I'm afraid with the doors being open for a while, and people going in and out, Slippers especially, might freak out and bolt out the door. She's the epitome of a scaredy cat. *ahem* unless it comes to terrorizing Iseeyou, then she thinks she's 10 feet tall and bullet-proof.

Now, Rover on the other hand, was an indoor/outdoor cat, and when we moved to St. Louis from Kansas City, we sedated both him and Bitty (my itty bitty kitty Wub) for the 4-5 hour car ride. Since Rover liked to roam, we kept him slightly sedated for the first 3 days till he got used to his new surroundings. BUT after a couple of months, he decided to take a 'vacation' and we didn't find him for a week or two. When we DID get him back, I made an appointment with the vet to remove his reason to roam. Would you believe when he came home from the vet, he was mad at me and wouldn't come near me for a week? Laugh He KNEW!

Carolyn, your sister-in-law was one brave woman to attempt to give a 20 lb. cat a shower! Did she emerge with all her limbs intact? I'm thinking the score was cat-1 human-0. Titter

Jill, when I moved in '96, I thought I'd find my beautiful blue satin Christmas tree skirt, but nada. To this day, I have no idea where it is. Don't Know I put it away 'where I could find it'...wherever that is! It'll be a total surprise if I ever find it. My problem is, when I find something in a box I haven't seen in a while, my packing comes to a halt for a little bit while I look through everything in the box. I guess I think I better look at it for a while before I pack it back up and forget where I put it...again. Titter

OK, speaking of packing, guess I better get at it.......

wave Hey there NIghtowl, Carolyn, and Karen!

Love your new smilies NIghtowl! Have you gotten moved in yet? Been bumping into walls in the middle of the night?
Well, the gremlins came by my place and one of them had this pretty blue Christmas cape on their wiry little head.....He mumbled something like "Dance like a butterfly and sting like a bee".. ...Seemed to me they had stopped by a bar on their way west for a few sips. They've been playing "Tarzan" swinging through the trees in front of my place and my neightbors aren't too happy about it....I will attempt to get the pretty blue Christmas tree skirt when they are sleeping it off.....It's been 2 days nonstop. Let me tell you, there is nothing like a bunch of drunk gremlins. Now I know why Carloyn sent them. Oh the shame

You got it Jill!

However, in their non-presence, my granddaughter Miss L has been taking over. She emptied all the thread out of my antique sewing chest (right next to the cats!). She also turned off the timer on one of my lights and changed the time on it so it would go off at a different time of day. Then she emptied Tupperware and cups out of a cabinet. Maybe the gremlins are easier?

Bleu had the gremlins in a group cleaning windows when they were here last. Are you telling me that y'all could not get them to do that? i bet your neighbors are upset, but I am afraid I saw a blue gremlin cape heading our way - after all it is "blue/bleu".......go figure. Maybe I can get it back to NIghtowl soon if they turn their backs and stop climbing up the trees..........

I hope at least they truly helped your packing Nightowl!
