I was in the Pat Bay area this afternoon for lunch and saw one of the eagles perched in a tree by the Pat Bay Trading Post. I couldn't tell who it was as it was perched right at the top of the tallest tree. I didn't see the other one and I didn't take my camera because it was a very dull, dreary rainy day Roll eyes

I went to see Ma & Pa this afternoon. The weather was much better than yesterday but still cloudy. I didn't see either one of them when I first drove around Pat Bay but on the way back from the Winery I spotted one of them perched at the very top of a tall spindly tree far off in the distance behind the farmer's property. I saw the other one perched in the tallest tree behind the Pat Bay Trading Post; I think this one was Ma. The fellow who lives by the Pat Bay Trading Post told me he saw 2 adults and 2 young ones perched in the trees there yesterday. They could be Ma & Pa's offspring. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Nice pictures of Ma Kay! Heading to the mainland this weekend, will try to swing by Pat Bay on the way home, maybe I'll be lucky this time and see one or both of the birdsfingers crossed

Headed out in sunlight yesterday to see Ma and Pa but by the time we got to Pat Bay it was overcast and bitterly cold.Mad The tide was way out which was nice but it was too cold to hang around on the beach for any length of time. Ma and Pa were at the beach, we saw both of them, and also a passerby intruder, but no pix or videos are worth posting. They look to be just fine, though. Will try again in a few days.

I went to Pat Bay today on my way home from the mainland....It was nice to see the old nest, still hanging in there! The new nest is spectacular, very well built which isn't surprising given our very industrious Pa! It's a fair sized one too!

Pa was in a tree across from the beach set back quite a bit off the road, and Ma was perched in a tree on the new nest property....they were both quite far away from me, so I identified them by their size.

Was wonderful to see both birds today, and they looked wonderfulWub

Debbie, glad you saw both Ma & Pa today. Yes, their new nest is huge Oh My If one of the eagles is in the nest they are usually not visible over the side, especially since the nest is so high up in the tree. Did you take any pics of Pa in the tree near the beach?
