elle, thanks for posting that article. I was not on the beach yesterday but there was a fellow with a red truck parked at the top of the beach when I drove by. There was too much traffic behind me to stop and he was gone when I drove by again. Perhaps he might have been testing the water in the ditch. I didn't smell any diesel while I was down at the Trading Post. I certainly hope all the rain and the wind we had managed to wash it away and there is none on the beach Oh My

Kay: I am just uploading the video of the waterfall now and will post it . Ian and I were on the beach for 2 hours walking quite far to the north and a bit to the south. As you know from your visit yesterday there were lots of ducks, and gulls and Oystercatchers and a Blue Heron and of course Ma and Pa. Since it was a lovely afternoon many of the locals were out walking the beach too with their dogs and we chatted with them and no one mentioned anything about a spill.

There has been a diesel spill at Patricia Bay. Diesel has leaked from a generator at Epicure Selections.

_______________

Well I tried to diffuse too much alarm about the oil spill at Pat Bay by posting about it first and giving a first hand eye witness account of the state of the beach and the water as I saw it after the spill occurred. I am not saying for sure there is no problem but I certainly did not see or smell one. I will be in touch with the farmers and I will be out there on Thursday afternoon for a funeral at the wee brown church if not before.

Went to the Spitfire Grill for lunch today before going to Canoe Cove Marina to check on brother-in-law's boat so I took my camera and persuaded hubby to drive around Pat Bay on the way to the marina. Pa was perched in the usual perch tree down by the Pat Bay Trading Post and I saw a wing flapping in the nest as we drove by. I took some pics of Pa but haven't uploaded them yet. It is a very dull, dreary day here and I took my old camera & lens so will have to look at the pics to see if there are any worth posting.

The fellow with the red pickup truck that I saw at the beach the other day was there today. He was down on the beach and it looked like he was collecting samples; they are obviously following up on the oil spill Nodding

A couple of pics of Pa today in the perch tree by the Pat Bay Trading Post. Quality is poor as it was a very dull, dreary day and I was using my short lens Roll eyes
