TERRIFIC photo Klaw!

Christian, Awwwww, our sweet Echo and Foxy. I love the pictures and we get a better view of the
underside of their wings so this is a real treat. Wonderful photo of Mom!!(?) Thank you for bringing
them close for us.

Thanks for posting these amazing shots, Christian.
They are even so much bigger than they were last weekend.
Won't be long before they hop to the branches.

Christian.....awesome photos! I have to agree with everyone else on the change in their size! What a difference.....they are losing the baby look and taking on more of an adult form. Thanks for your many trips to the nest to share these sights with us all!

Annie, I also think this is mom due to the wing "notches". Are we right Christian?

Thank you so much - Gillian, Annie, Catherine and Jean! Yes, wow have they grown!!! (Oh how I hated that statement when I grew up). OK, let's say - Wow thank goodness we can still enjoy them for a month, Tina predicts they will take off somewhere around week July 12th, can you confirm that? It is important for me because I have to be on high alert with my gear.

Regarding the last image - who is that? To be honest, I do not know. But I can tell you the story behind it. Kelli and I were on the WR beach last Sunday at low tide, she with enviable light equipment and me with my pained look heavy duty stuff. We were slowly moving towards an eagle on the rocks and I was looking for a suitable large rock to lean my camera and lens on. Kelli was to my right, a bit more in shore, and had a good angle on the eagle whilst I was adjusting my lens to focus a bit further away. Suddenly this eagle lifts off and lands about 5 m away from me! I was really shocked because it clearly saw me and believe it or not, was almost too close for my lens! Nevertheless I released the shutter as many times as possible, expecting the eagle to takeoff. It did not. Instead it started eating – I have AMAZING close-ups, not sure if you want to see these? Then it took off again in my direction, right over my head, maybe 2 m only! I felt the incredible wind. It was as if this eagle knew me, so wonderfully strange.

Golly, Christian... by now, do you really have to ask if we want to see the photos?Whistling
Surely we do.
The rush you felt is what we were describing from Vancouver Island.
I like to think the photo is Mom.. and by now, she does know you.

Wow- thank you Marg, Jean and Catherine - I will post later tonight! The reason I asked is that some people seem to have reservations about images of eagles chewing live fish, and this is what I will show, ok?
