11:13pm.............Beautiful pictures of our pair Christian! I recognize Mom by those notched feathers. Is it true that her feathers will change over time so that we aren't able to use those feathers for recognition any more? Or will she keep those feathers?

Oh Christian what a super sequence of pictures. I know we all appreciate you taking the time to brave the elements.
I can relate though to the patience of getting a good picture. I wait and wait watching on line to see something interesting and then it happens so fast my tigger finger does not cooperate. LOL

Hello Jean I am only guessing here but I think mom's feather will keep that notch unless she loses it. I don't think I ever noticed the notch in ma's feather until Christian pointed it out.

Thank you soooo much - gd, Jean, cbbird and cococat9 - A commnet on Ma's feathers - David H. told me that feathers are replaced gradually in order to preserve the ability of the eagle to fly. So it will be interesting to follow Ma in the next months and years and we will konw. Thank you again for your klindest appreciation

Interesting about the feather Christian. Thanks for the education. As long as we have you, Tina & others for wonderful ground reports we can follow the progress of ma's notched feather. Love this stuff. Have a beautiful day.

Hey Linda,

When the camera freezes immediately on opening click the stop button at the bottom, wait a second and reclick the play button. That should get things going. It doesn't do much for the intemittent brief freezes while viewing but should at least kick start the transmission. This is a new phenomenon for me too.
