The cam is back on but it seems to be in the scan mode again which is good but only one picture...the ground

Nice picture of the ground, Judy - and I agree that it's not really what I'm most interesting in viewing!

I just did a quick check of the cam - and there are eaglets! Big eaglets!



I'm not able to do more than a peek so don't know if the cam is focused on the nest full-time or still doing some scanning - but it is at least showing the nest some of the time.

All 3 are busy preening and standing tall. Might be windy there at the nest at this time because the cam is a bit shaky. I'll take shaky just to see them.

Nesties long time no see

middle one says Hello we are back on line
even after a weekend offline I can see they lie in the same spots in the nest bowl as they did before the cam went down and the middle one he stands all the time

Big on the left says "do you mind"

left = baby.... middle = big and right = middle...I can still tell them apart even after 6 days away from them

3:00pm Our chicks are now Huge and looking good.

1 is up and looking around; the others are resting mid-nest. Oh now he plopped down too.

Cam is still very shakey as reported earlier; I will try for s'caps if we get a parent in or self-feeding but not much point right now.

We need to move quickly on this, folks. Now that we have the cam up again, lets get this trio named! Thanks to those of you who have offered to participate for being patient. If you want to help with names send me a PM a.s.a.p. !!

I learned from Karen earlier in the week that the plan to have a school class be visited by David and then provide names for the Lafarge Trio did not happen.

I have a thought for a theme for the names but I'd like to try to keep it a secret if possible. If you want to help think of names -- and I hope our regular posters would like to do so -- send me a PM with Lafarge Names in the title and I will let you know what I'm thinking. If you don't like my names idea just say so!! and we will come up with something else.

Maybe we could aim for having names chosen by no later than the 20th June --about 1-1/2 weeks from now. The sooner the better is what Karen is aiming for.
