So the babies were attacked by another bird this morning which forced them to jump ship. Eric has video footage and will post it on ustream and facebook. He's spotted both of them and they are doing well.
Thanks so much for posting all the pics that you do, I love seeing them.

Gail..THank you for the scaps and reports..scary..
Kelly..It is our pleasure.. happy you like all the pictures... Thank you the report also..i did check face book and will post it here shortly..so happy both babies are doing well...
Eric posted this on face book
Barnum and Bailey were attacked and knocked out of the nest this morning but they Made it! I have video of Barnum getting fed and Bailey is higher in the tree then I can see right now. I can hear Bailey though. I'll try to get some more video after I get off work. (I had to quickly run out from work to figure this out.) There was a witness to the attack and she said Bailey broke free and made it to a branch where she evaded the bird. I have the attack on video and it's scary. More later.
Recent report from Face book
I have very harsh and disturbing video of the bird that attacked Bailey and may not post it even though she survived. Let me know what you think by voting.
Don't post photos Let's just be happy they survived.
Don't post the video I can't take it.
Post the video, I can take it
Post a couple of photos.

Good night all,
Thanks for the clarification it happened so fast, I was watching but mistook the bird in my scap as Barnum, now looking back it was the wren. Thanks Kelly, I don't see the chat or go to Facebook while at work so I was just going by what I thought I saw.
The following are the scaps from my recorder, it only catches a frame a second and so does not catch the violence of Eric's video. I watched it but it was very disturbing, it's puzzling behavior to me that a wren would bother with a hummingbird, and why he would hold on to our chick so hard and shake Bailey, I just don't get it.....

Sweet dreams Bev, Kelly, Fluff and all those who visit here ............and hummer hugs
Farewell Barnum & Bailey, I hope you find a beautiful garden to bring joy to the gardener, I miss you already and wish I could tuck you in one last time after such a traumatic day, hummer hugs little fellas.

I missed all the chaos yesterday.
I hope our little Fluff and her babies will be ok. Those little ones looked like they were just about ready to fledge anyway.
Wrens can be very territorial; maybe it's nest and young are nearby and it felt threatened.
I'll miss watching Barnum and Bailey.

Jane
