Great to see everyone here. Wonderful video and scaps of the two of them on the nest. Hopefully tomorrow we see some nestorations and bonding. Is there a way of telling how old the osprey are? I assume if they are two years old and have returned to the breeding area that they are ready to produce young at two, is that correct?
I'm sure Oscar will attract the best mate available, it will be interesting to learn from their behaviors how they build a relationship.

Good Morning..WE left the dock at 6am and 2 Osperys were hoovering above us in the wind. I watched them for a little while and then they flew off in the direction of the nest. After we hooked up to an incoming vessel i checked the cam and saw 2 on the nest and poof they were gone. I have named the new bride THEEL..lol..all the letters of ETHEL..Have a nice day.

I am seeing one Opsrey flying in and out of the nest..

Osprey reach sexuality maturity around 3-4 years of age...reaching full physical maturity at 4.8 years of age.

The young Osprey return to their home territory 2 years after they migrated to attract a mate and build a nest.... the young pair will not successfully breed until they are 3-4 years of age..

.One Osprey on the nest..looks like male ..from what i can see.. has full white breast..but this could be the reflection of the cam..
