Dad flew onto the nest. Immediately followed by #4. She landed on the near branch

Stayed there very briefly and then down to the nest. Dad poked about in the grasses in the nest bowl and 4 stood at the nest rim just surveying the area. Finally Dad joined her in the survey

They stood like that for 15 - 20 minutes. Then Dad switched to the front and 4 moved towards the back

Stayed there a minute longer - Dad flew off - then 4 - leaving an empty nest.

There was one thing I noted during that 20 minute visit. Probably doesn't mean anything, but #4 ruffled her shoulder and chest feathers out - would hold that position for a minute or two. Relax and then do it again. Dad never ruffled his feathers so I know it wasn't the wind.

Good morning, everyone! Lots of who's in the nest questions and to be honest, I'm not really sure. Beak looks female, but I do not see her black feathers and the neckline has me a bit confused so for now - an eagle is in the nest. lol

9:44 The eagle, whoever it is, is still there.

#4 lying in the nest looking around.

We must give the moderators a huge gold star for patience - everyone wants an egg for Dad. No matter what it's lovely to see her lying there in beautiful close ups.
