Darlene..I just read that as well about some others on the Mod Disc Board noted hearing the calls at those times. Totally agree with what I heard.... non agitated and calling back and forth from one to another.
I have been watching/listening NCTC all night (as I mostly do) and am so glad it is peaceful, especially after this evening's intruder. Nighty

After pondering a bit before I head to bed, what I believed to be gentle calling between two eagles tonight - noted earlier at 12:38 and 1:28 ... I want to believe that it was Dad Norfolk and #3/DT connecting...
3.30More calling as I write this.....two distinct eagles calling to each other...non threatening...at least that is how it sounded to me.
3.33 I just heard wing flappping close to nest and more calling from farther away from the nest.... HMMMMM...
...as I was saying.... I WANT TO BELIEVE... and that is it...
I was.......................going to bed ........but...not quite yet.
3.54 Quiet since the last "episode"...noted above...
(At the moment, I am glad to be on California time... but I don't know how I will feel about that when/if I am still awake when the sun rises at the nest) I sometimes hate being so obsessive. I am sure many of you have experienced this a time or two, huh?
I am justifying it...just like you... Okay... I will shush up and get back to justifying why I am sitting here watching and listening ...

Saw that Gail. Was trying to check out her feet when she was on that front branch. Did they look messed up? She's a bold one. Went right down and tried to enter the nest with Dad but he was having none of it.

Everyone - - thank you! Got up in Central Time with this nest the first site I wanted to check. I am so glad you heard the calls back and forth. It makes me think that yes, she is staying away to let him deal possibly. (Everything is couched in "possible" .
