I was wondering if anyone might have any suggestions as to where the birds have gone. I haven`t had any birds at our feeders for weeks. I had plenty of birds in the fall, but for the last couple of month`s I haven`t had any, no sign of them. The seed level in my feeders has not gone down at all. I put out peanut suet and it isn`t even touched. I`m not even getting any house sparrows or starlings. I`m at a loss . I miss the killdeers that used to run away when anyone was walking around thinking they would follow them we have a big flied and you could hear them sing and watch them to. Then there is the Bobolink.The singer so nice to hear, Gone..
We had One robin this year, and that was it. The little old apple tree was hostess to a nest of bees the small vicious ones built their cone home. We will not touch it till it gets colder. They say they will come back again next year too,have spray will use it when we think they are cold. We have a flower bush that they are fond of so up come the bush and we will plant it somewhere else and not close to the house.Pehaps as they say all that the bugs and ants will inherit the earth finally, It is a good thing we don't know what is ahead of us but my premenition or my syki says It will not be good.Prepare good people prepare***In the meantime enjoy yourselves :-) hahahahaha.

Jean........my birds have been scarce here the last month or so. I suspect they have moved to areas near the ponds or lakes as it has been such a hard summer here. Hopefully your migrating birds will begin to gather & feast on your birdseed as they get ready for their trip south. I know you must miss seeing the usual visitors to your yard.

We have had company and it is so nice for us to see relation from Sudbury. We all went out for a feast last night our son and wife came over to join us , Had a grand time and really delicious food. They are coming over now to pick us up to go for breakie. Nice of them So on our way. Talk later on to-day. jean
