Newbie, you crack me up. Seriously though, come on ma where are you?

WOW!!! I have been away for five days and just spent the last hour - or so!! - catching up on lovely Linux and all your terrific scaps and comments. Thanks so much everyone - way to many people to thank so I hope you'll just all accept a big ! Wonderful to see salmon in the diet and wonderful to know the salmon run has started somewhere - hope Ma and Pa have got a steady source for the next while. Someone posted re the pests on the nest and wondered if Linux will munch on flies. I haven't seen that, but remember Ma nestling over her two bobbleheads way back in April and eating any blue-bottle within reach. Either they were annoying her, or protein is protein. I looked back over the scaps to see if I could find one that someone had caught, but no luck. Linux sure seems to 'fly' across the nest as opposed to walking - wait to go big boy!

Linux just resting on the nest facing 11:00 position - he has been in the same position for a long time. I guess he needs to rest up after all the batting about this morning and I guess he needs to recoup some of that energy since he is still growing very fast.
Would love to see some food coming in soon!

Linux may not always have food every day from now on - he has to get used to the idea that he may need to go a couple of days without - like he will when he gets to the feeding grounds,
And soon you may see Dad teasing him and making him fight for it and mantle!

We shall have a very interesting few weeks coming up
