I think I have a reason for the pixeling.
Charlotte has been busy on the lens cover - it shows up at certain angles of the sun - I watched it get started today!
That and the fast moving leaf shadows and it's a mess at certain times of day.

She should catch some flies but then, that would really mess up the lens.

the truly AWESOME thing about that pose is that DECORAH MOM did this wing display earlier this
year! from what i read, it is a very rare sighting
(many people commented that they had never seen this before)

Good happy birthday morning Delta 2! Linux is still standing regal in the sun at 11 with no crop visible. He needs a nice celebratory crop to make this a happy day for us all. There's hardly any room for him to hop flap around without tripping on debris.
