thanks JudyB,I thought that from the distortion of the nest, also after watching several nests over the last couple of years I have learned to trust the instincts of these remarkable raptors,I may not understand the behavior but I try not to worry. All good thoughts for this family of E's

PattiO, it's not always available - when it's there, the link is http://www.ustream.tv/hwfdeltaeagles
priscillsh, thanks for your concern - and please do not bring fish to the nest area. Please read my post here - forum/viewtopic.php?topic=371131#371131.
Please everyone - what we need now is good thoughts and good observations. If we need something else/more - you will be the first to know.
Thank you all - and it's now after midnight here in Maine, so I'm going to try to say goodnight.

Richmond B.C. a suberb of Vancouver B.C. Canada
No never I didn't mean that remark to the public or desired few who love eagles no not yous guys but the owner of the property could get a road kill dropped off I'm certain complements of the BC wildlife govt. Or all the rich media that fly around above the nests but not on the owners property. I mean they think enough of eagles to have a cam on their property so I'm sure if the food was donated they would drop off a road kill rabbit or two or nice big salmon fish heads to the owner for disposal.

Ahhh, my apologies Judy. I automatically think of Richmond as being Virginia ... since I am in Pennsylvania.
