Judy this was there the other night too. I was wondering if it was a strap from the cam that wraps around the tree :dunno:I've also seen that stick like thing in your video that comes from the side but this strap like thing comes from the top Scap from Nov 3

No eagles present -and it looks like Charlotte had the night off as well!
It's unusual not to see a web.

:hello: Morning! What you saw last night Judy is totally in a different position than what I saw yesterday. It started in the upper left corner then moved down to what you caught on your video before disappearing. That is why I wondered if it was a shadow of whatever was moving. Such a bright sunny day it was. Sun is appearing again today so perhaps it will show up again around 12:00-1:00. Not there now, nor are the eagles apparently.
ETA 11:05 A fairly close call heard.

I've heard back from Karen, and the new cam is up the trunk we can see on the left of the screen, so whatever we're seeing isn't related to it. Fortunately whatever it is doesn't seem to be affecting the functioning of the current cam, and doesn't seem to be blocking the view most of the time - so I guess it just goes into the "one of those things" category.

Good news Judy! And it hasn't appeared yet today! Sun is shining, shadows are obvious but our mystery
apparition has absconded. :lol::dunno:

Not sure if this is a shadow of the cam on the nest - but it looks like a shadow of something!

I did just see the string-like thing on the left of the screen, so it's still hanging in there, so to speak.

3:32pm I assume that we are seeing a cam shadow there Judy. That's what I've called it in the past...
and now that I'm looking I do see some thing dangling in the breeze-- almost out of view at the extreme lower left of the view.
I hope I get to see some eagles.
I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made
