4:12 and 4:13 A squeaky eagle call heard nearby. Short, 3 trills each time. Must be my "duck caller".
4:14 There it goes again, 3 times. If that's Ma, with her panting, and yes, I agree with you planet, some of those branches brought in could very well have elicited panting, but I hope she's OK.

6:17 A last evening check to find both adults in the nest, digging in, beaking by Ma. This has been a very industrious nesting day by our wonderful parents.

Yeah, I was finally watching the nest at the right time and I got to see them both!
