Adult (?) brooding 12/6, there is one long piece of grass laying across the lower back to the tail.
It's calm, not much of a breeze at the moment.

Just noticed that the eggs were alone (adult had been incubating a moment ago) - and then saw an eagle fly across in the background, and it looked as if he or she got take-out for dinner, as the adult is quickly de-feathering something at the back of the nest.

The adult (I'm thinking it's Mom, noticing the lighter spots on her feathers) finished her quick meal and resumed incubating. As soon as she was settled in, Dad appeared. They looked at each other for a minute or so, and then Dad left again.

I didn't see it arrive - but there is a lot of straw/fluff in the nest. Are you expecting a chilly afternoon in BC???

well, i guess now we know who our precious JET (sorry, i had a moment...) inherited her quirky and LOVEABLE personality from!
