The nest is only vacant for a minute when Dad (I think) takes over and immediately covers the eggs.

I have been off for so long so I was really surprised to see the nest active. Last year was my first year observing, and I missed the hatching. Maybe someone could tell me when the eggs should hatch? On a personal note, my husband is a resident at the Delta View Habilitation centre on Burns drive, so I probably pass this nest at least 3 times a month. It is an hour and a quarter drive for me to get in there, but driving along Ladner Trunk road, I sure see a lot of eagles. I can hardly wait to see them hatch.

Hi unicorn3. I read that they hatch after about 35 days of incubation. The second egg presented itself yesterday, March 6th. We are not exactly sure about the first egg as the cams were still off. Hope that is helpful Smile Keep us posted of your sightings.

9:38 pm I see the Delta cam is not working for me just a buzzing noise. Also, 2 eggs have been laid according to the forum. How do I fix it so I can see the cam?
Thanks

We do not have a night-time view of this nest right now, palweber. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we can fix the lighting but now that there are eggs it is more difficult as we dare not go too near to the tree. Viewing is during day light hours. Also, we have no sound here now either... Oh the shame

I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made
