I'm afraid so, beans. It looks as if it will take a site visit to sort things out, and I'm not sure when we'll be able so schedule that. Richard and Ken know how eager we are to get the cams back, and we've had some additional offers of help that have been passed on to Richard - but as far as I know nothing has been set up yet.

I think the adults started visiting the nest around February 10 last year - so I'm hoping we'll be able to resolve this in the next week or two.

I just realized this morning that I can't connect to O.W.L.'s website either. I wonder if the cameras and website all depend on the same IP signal going out from the property ? ( www.owlcanada.ca )

Good thought - but I can connect to O.W.L. now using your link, though it may well have been down earlier.

The cams still aren't working - and I'm not at home so can't readily try connecting to the computers remotely to restart the encoder program.

OWL's website FINALLY came up for me. It must have been going through a reboot somewhere along the line when I first tried it.

Hope we can find out soon why the cams aren't working.

HEAR DAVID SPEAK ON THE LOW BRACKENDALE EAGLE COUNT!

David will be interviewed by Fanny Kiefer on Channel 4 (SHAW cable, local TV channel) at 9 a.m. next Wednesday, January 18. It is not known what time during the hour that David will be featured as she will have three different guests that day. He will be speaking to the low eagle count this year at Brackendale.

For those who don't live in BC, Fanny Keifer is host to an hour long show on Shaw TV featuring interviews with local personalities. It airs daily Monday - Friday at 9:00 am and usually repeats again at 4:00 pm.

Update on the camera situation at DeltaOWL.

Ralph checked and rebooted the cam computer but it is not working so Ken will have to make a trip to the nest to do some work on it.

In the meantime, Bev mentioned that Mom and Dad are still in the area and have been to the nest ... and they have "possibly" done a few nestorations to it. The way she discovered that is because when they bring in new grass to the nest they fly over her vehicles and have been dropping mud and debris on them
