Parent is moving a stick as other parent watches.
(I don't know the parent's well enough to identify them yet).
I may be stopping by once in a while..
I just need to be careful not to get hooked...LOL

Hi Mary and Debbie..... Very special family indeed. This will be fun to watch for sure...
I just read a little bit about the parents... Independence and Franklin... Still need to read more another time...
When I have time... LOL

Such adorable babies and great parents too! Can anyone tell me if these chicks will stay with the parents and fledge off the nest, or do they go to a hacking tower or something?
ETA: I could probably look back on the history of this nest, but (I'm too lazy right now )

They will go to a tower. Unfortunately, unless things have changed, they don't have a cam at the tower because of its remote location, so we may get videos when the doors are opened, but won't be able to watch them there like we can the eaglets from the Carolina Raptor Center.
Last year the chicks were moved when they were 5-6 weeks old. They need to be old enough to feed themselves, but still young enough that they can't look over the edge of the nest and see people on the walkways below touring the facility.
They're almost 3 weeks old now.
