HAHA! I choose to think that they missed the boat. I watched the new chick from the side and the front before I ever took thos s'caps and it was moving around and definitely free of the shell

As I was typing this post at maybe 10:30 or so nest time, I had a hunch and pulled the cam up. sure enough--there was Indy checking to see if her new babies were ready to eat. She had no food--I think she was just testing and they ARE ready!!

As I was typing the above posts, Indy decided to give us another look at the chicks. They look to be really strong!

It seemed that one of the little darlings already didn't want to be covered! "I see you, Mom"!!

Got back from my appointments and have a whole bunch of "baby pictures". I'm afraid it will be easy to do with these great cams!

These all are from 6:00PM to 6:30 nest time.

Beautiful "twins"--they have crops so must have been fed.
