This pair seems anxious to get cracking
I do believe we may have an egg at this nest...waitin for official confirmation.

Just after 4 pm....Mom has been incubating; sitting in the nest.
Sure looks like we have an egg here!


Sitting pretty


Earlier today... Mom was active in the nest but not sitting continuously
then just before dark...just after 4 pm I noticed Mom was sitting....and sitting and sitting
so suspect the first egg was being laid just before 4 as she has been sitting alot ever
since that time slot...and was still incubating at dark.

Mornin' Sequoyah

Mom is busy again this morning; sitting pretty too. I am
pretty sure we have an egg waitin for official confirmation!!

Beautiful Mom continues to incubate?

Hmmmm Mom is still sitting...we have an egg I think (confirmed by video)...I thought so last night too? However, I just saw Mom do what appeared to be an egg roll while incubating.

The nesting adult just stood up, turned around, did some digging in the nest bowl, made a movement that might have been turning an egg, and then nestled back in with the back and forth motion that helps get an egg right up against the brood patch.

Sure looked like the actions of an incubating adult!

The first egg was around December 28 last year, so it looks as if they're 10-11 days earlier this year.

Second adult just arrived. Nesting adult carefully backed off the nest bowl, and both are standing there side by side.

Mom and Dad are airing the egg right now; both standing
on the brim of the nest looking all around.

Mom remains off the egg preens abit....Dad I think is perched just off the nest.

I thought there may have been a meal brought to nest
not sure.


Lots of small birds perching in the nest tree again.
Mom and Dad do not seem to bothered either. Wonder what type
of bird this is....and if they are migrating?
