Judy H I have seen Dad flipped forward before....complete flip forward ....a couple of years ago; luckly no injuries but always potental for injuries....it was some scaree. It will be a long night for our Channel island birds.

After Dad nearly flipped forward he got up
and put some more bedding around the egg;
looks around likely assessing the wind then
he resumes incubating again.

an egg roll then repositions yet again.

This is brutal. K10 literally almost got blown awaay... again, didn't snap it fast enough, but he was hanging on with both talons...


He is trying to protect babyegg. I so feel for our pair and baby egg during this nasty wind storm...

Judy H this pair has lots of experience with the Santa Ana winds....they are very alert to the weather so talons crossed they will be just fine
