Our chick is in resting mode; no parent visible but
am sure one if not both are perched very near by
just out of our site.

I was just reading back.....the name "precious" is okay but it kinda reminds me of the lil doggie in Silence of the Lambs....yikes ..... so I hope there are other choices put forward

Chub-Lett is under going rapid growth; her wings are no doubt very heavy as the blood or pin feathers are really coming in now; she just plods along the nest .... she nearly tipped overafter the poop shoot it was good thing she was facing inside of the nest.... it was too cute.

Watching mom arrive with something in her talons and little piglet trying so hard to grab it from mom was hilarious.
I started to record right after... but the way little looked at mom is priceless.
She nips at mom a few times... She is feisty alright.
Dad is perched out on the balcony...
But takes off around 7.55

Mom leaves little one and hops up to the balcony. I guess mom didn't bring anything home...

Scaps right when mom returned... I missed when mom actually pecked at Miss Fiesty...
