Afternoon West End and Two Harbors

We are all glued to our seats waiting for our first hatch at either nest

Nancy thanks for bringing Dr. Sharpe's comments here; I also thought the chick hatched but did not survive....so sad for our TH pair so hoping we have a hatch at TH today .

1025 am
Superman was on duty but Wray returned and a switch occurred;
Wray checks the eggs before resuming brooding; she listens to
her eggs



1130 am
We get a close up view of the TH egg
parents have been looking and listening to their egg today too.





1215 pm
Mom is on duty at both nests right now.

340 pm
We have a pip at West End woo hoo



Wray has a dirty neck line for some reason



No pip seen at TH yet but will keep watching.

203 pm
Superman listens to the eggs.

635 pm
Mom is on duty at TH





Wray just got up off the eggs and we get a peek
at the eggs. She exits then Superman arrives and takes
over incubating for now.

638 pm
Superman takes over incubating.



7 pm
Superman was up off the eggs briefly again
drew abit of bedding closer then resumed incubating.

Momma TH was off the eggs too but could not see
a darn thing the cup too deep and too much bedding
piled up high.

Mom appeared to be looking and listening so hopefully
we have a hatch by tomorrow.

4:03 will have to wait until light to see what's going on.

4:38 - 4:40
WE: Wray adjusts eggs - I wasn't fast enough to get a s'cap when the third one was visible - doesn't look like a little one yet.

TH: K82 sitting up high, checks and gently moves egg.

5:57 WE good view of the eggs. Hard to tell what's a crack and what's nest material.

TH: K82 sleeping.

7:11 TH: K82 gets up and checks the egg and gingerly settles back in.



WE: Incubating.
