Thanks for checking in, Debs. I'm afraid I'm not able to be online much this week, so appreciate any news.

I just checked the Maine forum, and it sounded as if Eden was there and peeping while eating this morning while the cam was still dark. She's about 13-1/2 weeks old and has been flying since mid-July, so I see each visit as a gift at this point. love

I got this video yesterday morning before I left to spend the day with some HWF friends. As exited as I was to meet gogee (Diana) I had trouble dragging myself away while Eden was on the nest. Who knows how much longer she'll be around. Like you said JudyB, each day is a gift now!

Parent in with food and Eden follows

Small meal but still happy to see her eat and she came in peeping all the way from a long ways off!

Hi Debs, I had a blast yesterday, long day though, didn't get home until after 10.

video of meal delivery this morning which looked like a large bird. Eden was definitely defeathering. I had to shorten the video as it was almost 50 minutes long!

Hello Darlene! I enjoyed meeting you yesterday and want to thank you for the heads up about this nest. I also enjoyed meeting all the other HWF friends and look forward to more get togethers in the future. I can see we have one beautiful eaglet left here in this nest.......flying but not gone yet. All eagle lovers are having withdrawl now and it is comforting to see a nest with a let still there! I will definitely peek at this nest a few times before this one leaves too and keep this nest in mind for watching next years new family! I enjoyed watching the food drop videos of yours! Looks like a nice little family from what I can see.........and the scenery is beautiful!! Cheers! Grin

Maybe this is a silly question but I will ask it anyway. PuzzledWhy am I seeing such a dark picture here? It can't be dark in Maine yet and maybe this nest is in the shade so is a bit shadowed.?? Does any one know if there is a reason or is there something wrong? Darlene, I was hearing an eaglet too this morning when I checked and I am still hearing one near but there is no one in the nest or camera view (that I can see in the dark).

Hold on..............I think Eden is here. Look at the dark shape by my arrow. That wasn't here when I looked before.

After watching for a few more minutes I could tell that she really was there. At one point I could see her wings flapping and her body went upwards and then came back down. Because of the blackness of the picture I cannot tell if she is still there or if she left when I saw her body shape move downward. Don't Know
