It has been interesting over the last few years watching the maintenance of the nest. Many a time I have driven my daughter to work in the morning to see an eagle gathering loose twigs form the trees on St Johns Street and taking them back to the nest. I have witnessed many hunts by the eagles along Rocky Point of fish in the small streams along the mud flats to Noons Creek. The only thing I have yet to see is if young ones actually hatch of survive. I have not seen a young eagle in Port Moody but have seen them in Burnaby at Barnet Marine Park. This is the second nest in this area, the first was on the north side of Rocky Point near Noons Creek in a big cotton wood tree. Aparently the nest was blown down in the wind storms we had. Loking forward to the feeds and will forward some of my photos soon. Cheers

Hi all, I live in Ct as subject line mentioned and got will the winter ever end blues. This years January storms have caused many roofs in Ct to collapse and also many issues for driving. So much for that..

Our local Audubon group did their winter Bald Eagle count in January and found the same numbers of Bald Eagles as last year. There two small rivers that have a small wintering over population of Bald Eagles and the count stands at 12. Compared to Pacific northwest I know that's miniscle but our regions numbers are just starting to bear fruits from different states restoration work.
