Pat...I solved our mystery of who messed up the snow! Sitting eagle


Mom made a very quick visit to the nest at about 2:50PM nest time.

Dad came later at about 5:10PM or so and called out for a bit.

It snowed some more on the nest today and nearly filled in the holes left by Mom and Dad yesterday.

Dad flew in just before 5:00PM nest time with a small bunch of grass, dropped it, looked around and left.

Hello Good day, just for 2 minutes they where both on the nest. after 2 min. they take off. One came back for a min. a take off again.
about 8.20 AM BC time.

Isnt she just stunning? She is our Diva for sure and still doing great. Last week she was 2 miles from her natal nest!! And also soared past the town WalMart!

jfrancl....Welcome to HWF and to the Decorah thread. We are always happry to "see new faces" here! Thank you for the news that D1 was so close to "home"!!

anna...great scaps!! That really was a big piece of lumber that Mom and Dad were trying to find just the right place for!! WOW! It was Mom in the foreground with the gray coloring behind her eye.

Don't you just love the look of bald eagles in the snow? BEAUTIFUL!!
