Took this video earlier in the day but didn't have time to post it. Mom sure takes good care of her little ones!

PPO Mom protects her owlettes from the rain. 10-19-11

I have s'capes to post but they will have to wait till later. Our son called and we talked on Skype and got to see our little 6 mo old grandson. It's getting late here so I need to shut down for the night. Have a good evening all!

Good Morning all!
It looks like a nice sunny day at the nest today along with a good amount of wind. Certainly better than the rain, winds and storms they had last night. Our PPO Mom sure took care of her little ones and shielded them and kept them warm and dry. What a great Mom she is!

Here's the catch-up from last night:

The rains had stopped so Mom was sitting on planter edge watching her babes.

She must be hearing noises from the house as she keeps looking towards their window.

Mom has food.

Mom is eating!
When there was the concern that Mom might be sick, they were told to watch and see if Mom was still eating. Looks like all is well as Mom did make sure to feed herself as well as her chicks!

I have more s'capes but I think that pretty well covers what a wet, windy, stormy night it was at the nest. Mom continued to come back and forth to the nest whenever it got bad and made sure her chicks were kept warm and dry.

So nice to see the sun shining there today!
