Quite a strong breeze blowing. Adult in the nest is very alert and watchful.

Loved the early morning scaps from Anna.

There was a mid afternoon one from jkr for a different perspective.

4:35 pm Sydney time, 8-10-11, parent on nest with 'lots of wind'. I'll probably think there's something wrong with the cam if I ever check the nest and there is no wind. Smile

Do believe it is Mom on the nest because of what I saw later during the change over.

Every so often parent will stick their beak into the nest. Maybe checking temperature? Not sure.

Feel the wind in your . . . feathers.

4:46 pm I missed a scap of the parent fly in but it looked pretty. The one that flew in, Dad I'm pretty sure, wanted to move a largish branch but he really didn't succeed in moving it much. The chatters were indicating that both parents find fault with the branch but neither one will remove it from the nest.

4:46 pm Sydney time still 8-10-11 A few more scaps of change over.

While watching the change over, the parent leaving the nest was a lighter color of gray then the one coming in. It could also be due to lighting but I also thought the one leaving was a little larger then the one coming in. The one coming in shows more black in the tail while sitting. Do believe a prior post from Liberty said that Mom was a little bigger and lighter in color and that Dad had more black in his tail.

Cam was 'off' from 5:37 pm to 5:47 pm Sydney time. When it came back up, it was on infrared and it appeared that there had been a change over between the parents. The timing would have been about right.

Sleepy time at 6:05 pm Sydney time.

A bunch of moths were flying past the sleeping parent but parent was not in the least bit fazed. The moths would not show up on any scap.

Night sea eagles.
