7:28am

Stu had been poking around in the nest. Not really doing anything. He decided to do some wing work. Spent about a minute bouncing all over the nest. Again, just one wing lift per bounce

Here is one sequence

3:00 dad just arrived with a fish, now mom has arrived to feed Stu and dad has flown off. Good sized fish! Good thing as it is 92 degrees there right now and it sounds from the chat like Stu hasn't had anything to eat yet today.

cam just went off but a got some video of the fish delivery. It was mostly the last few minutes that Stu got fed. mom ate the biggest part of the fish but it as a large fish and Stu got enough to keep him going in the heat!

mom finally shares the fish with Stu

Late getting home and didn't turn on cam until just before 5 pm nest time. S2 very warm and flaked out in shade of tree trunk, prostrate with mouth open. Watched for over 35 minutes and he stayed there, but wouldn't you know it when I left the tail end of a fish was delivered by Dad. I can still see it on the nest at 6 pm.

According to chatters, there wasn't much meat left on it and S2 just got one good bite of food, it was mostly bones and skin. I watched your video, thanks Darlene, and didn't see him get much in that feeding either. He reached a lot but I didn't see him swallow much. Guess he also had a very small fish at 1:20 pm.

5:08 - 5:12 Stu is moving around the nest and looks fine, just did some big hops and now is standing by the tree trunk on right and looking up.

Hopefully it will cool off somewhat tomorrow. I'm sleepy Good night

I've only been able to pop in briefly over the weekend, so appreciate everyone's ob's and video's!

It's funny how, in a few short weeks the temperatures went from cool to blistering hot in Sydney...I'm sure with the bits of food S2 is getting throughout the day it's enough to keep him hydrated...

4:13am... S2 is standing off to the far right of the nest, had to really look to see him standing there, he's right in the dark area beside the trunk...

4:53... Still standing in the shadows, what a little nightowlSmile

5:30... S2 still awake, still standing on the right side of the nest, can see him better now though.

6:50... Cam was off, but back on now! S2 standing on the nest edge by the skinny trunk..

7:11... Now he's off to the right looking out, looks like there's a fish in front of him, if so, I didn't see it brought in...nope, I see now that there's no fish there..

7:26... Dad in, then out just as quickly...S2 pecked at Dad's right leg, probably checking for food..

7:41... S2 standing on the right again...parent hasn't returned.

Have a Great day everyone! Out for work
