Just checked the cam again. Mom is feeding Stu breakfast - looks like a bird of some kind - what ever - it is not fish

Not sure when, but Dad arrived. He was moving sticks around and Mom was eating the "stringy" stuff

8:16am I agree with BET -- Stu looks rather wet and bedraggled.
8:19am Sut is at 6oclock and backed up far enough to be standing on the sticks at the edge of the nest --- moved back on to the nest after a few seconds.

I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made

Hi everyone,
I watched the cam between 6 and 7 am this morning but got booted before I could read the forum and post. According to chat, the food item was a fruit bat which would have been what was brought in last night as Beans noted. At 6 am Mum was standing erect at 2 o'clock looking down on Stu and she reminded me of a penquin. She started picking at the vegetation in front of her at 6:05 and then dug in so enthusiastically that she woke her sleeplet. He got up drunkedly with eyes still closed, backed up for a ps and almost fell over but by them Mum had dug out the nestovers and started feeding Stu.
The feeding lasted a long time with Dad entering and exiting 2x during it but the feeding was still ongoing during his last visit at 6:53 am.
Part of the time Mum had to work really hard and Stu sat in his nest, she was pulling long thick bits and they seemed to recoil, poor Mum.
8:36 am Stu does look wet, must be raining now.
Note: Australia has changed to DST and there will be one hour less time between our N. American clocks and theirs.
