very slight breeze.

7:50am Stu still preening (Sorry, forgot to post)

8:02am Adult in and out very quickly.

8:15am Stu is preening again and just generally hangin' out on the nest.

8:35am adult in from 3oclock and arranging a leafless stick.
8;36am Adult departs

Stu hasn't time to react much though I think the new stick may be on top of him.... Yep
it's not large and can't be very heavy.




8:40am there he pulled his head back from under



8:41am Stu tries to move the offending stick

9;25am Watching Stu contort in seemingly impossible ways as he preens. S'caps wouldn't do it justice

S'caps are 1 second apart ( I got lucky today...)

10:06am adult in from about 10oclock spot and just standing.
Stu gets up
adult moves to 1oclock spot and leaves the nest.

10:35am the wind has picked up. Stu did some wing work... he's getting a much stronger flap and more range of motion all the time.

Hi Terry, if you are still here. Everytime I try to post my 'puter is freezing up and so this may be it.

I watched yesterday's video again and can see a little of both - for sure Stu didn't want Mum sheltering him and whether it was a feeding or more interaction that he/she wanted it is not easy to tell, maybe a bit of both. Without a sibling or many (any?) toys there is not much stimulation on the nest so I can see your point, Anna.

Stu still waiting for brekkie to come in at 10:34 am. Up and just did a ps., it looks pretty windy now.

eta 10:56am Stu was nestorating, so cute, then he collapsed into his bowl. Needs some "fuel".
